Double European degree at Czech University of Life Sciences in Prague

Students of economic department of CULS in Prague studying in English have a unique opportunity to join exchange programs of CULS and partner universities across Europe and to receive a double degree. Thus, the student gets two diplomas (a diploma of the Czech University of Life Sciences and a diploma of one of the partner universities) within the terms of studying under one program. This became possible thanks to the fact that certain subjects are acknowledged by partner universities, so there is no need to study and pass them again.

Today economic department at CULS in Prague offers several Double Degree programs for bachelor and master degrees.

Bachelor degree programs

Economics and Management, CULS / International business, Grenoble Ecole de Management, France

Duration of study: 6 semesters

Students studying under this program receive comprehensive knowledge in the field of management, international business, international culture, and foreign languages. These skills will allow them to work in various conditions and to take leading positions at international enterprises.

Economics and Management, CULS / International studies in management, The University of Applied Sciences Bielefeld, Germany

Duration of study: 6 semesters

Bachelor degree program provides the students with experience in the field of business management in the international market. Graduates of the program will be able to solve specific tasks competently, will master the basics of efficient communication and negotiating, project management, and presentations of results. Studying process is arranged in small groups enabling to develop team work abilities and team spirit.

Master degree programs

Economics and Management, CULS / Management Economics and Consumer Studies, Wageningen University, Netherlands

Duration of study: 6 semesters

This is a rather extensive program focused on management, economic, and social processes in agricultural field. Within the scope of program, students receive practical skills for application in their future career.

Economics and Management, CULS / Environmental Management for Business, Cranfield University, Great Britain

Duration of study: 5 semesters

This program provides the students with knowledge and skills and teaches them to understand the environmental problems and their influences on economy and business sector. Within the scope of this program, students learn to give a critical assessment to alternative ecological measures and develop ability to define and recommend suitable solutions for efficient environmental control.

Economics and Management, CULS / Master in International Business, Catholic University of Lyon, France

Duration of study: 5 semesters

The goal of this program is to provide the students with skills which will help them to solve the key problems and tasks in the field of international business. Joint work on tasks and group projects help develop communication skills, leadership qualities, and team work. The study process includes also other interactive techniques, like business simulation, participation in international conferences and workshops with successful businessmen and experts.

How to join a double degree program

Undergraduate and graduate students studying at CULS can join Double degree program. You can find more detailed information on how to enter CULS here.

Double degree programs are intended for students of CULS, ie for those who already have student status (who is currently a student and has already provided nostrification). You must apply online for registration and come for an interview. In case of successful interview and meeting all conditions, the student goes in the next academic year for 2 semesters abroad to study at a partner university. In this case, student pays only the cost of studying in the CULS according to study program (for example, 15.000 Kč for the bachelor’s program Economics and Management), student does not have to pay for studying abroad.

Students who have successfully passed all necessary exams in the first year of undergraduate or graduate programs and who have provided nostrification during the first year, can register for the program in the first year and go abroad to study in the second year. It is possible to leave while studying in the third year of undergraduate program (or in the second year of graduate program), but in this case, students most often extend their studies by one or two semesters in order to write a bachelor (thesis) work and prepare for state exams.
